Rural Data Standards
Although there are some indicators and reporting systems for community wellbeing, including the ISO37120 international standard for city services and quality of life, Canada has no national standards for indicators and supporting data for rural community wellbeing and prosperity. Community Ingenuity has been designated by the Standards Council of Canada as the Lead Industry Proponent for the development of these standards. Community Ingenuity is working with CSA Group and a Technical Committee of leading experts in the field of rural data to draft and test standards for indicators of rural community prosperity, services, and quality of life.
